Columbus Taco Fest mission is to position itself as a regionally and nationally recognized festival destination, by providing a unique mix
of Mexican cuisine and quality entertainment through a viable event that attracts visitors and stimulates local economic growth.
The brand needed to be coherent, consistent and allow them to communicate clearly and succinctly with their audience. That said, Columbus Taco Fest were also very clear that they needed to convey an approachable, supportive, friendly & quirky attitude.
We sat down with the festival team, providing them with a brand audit, finding the good bits, jettisoning the not so good, and pinpointing the company’s core messages (researching the competition, identifying their place in the market, & talking with staff throughout every level of the business).
With this wealth of information in our hands, we provided the company with a clear set of brand guidelines on application of the brand across all media, with suggestions on titling, formatting, page layout, as well as various other collateral such as beer mugs, posters, t-shirts that would best suit the brand.
